Foothills Animal Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization.  Funds for the care, feeding and medical needs of sheltered animals are provided by residents and community businesses.

Volunteers provide a variety of support services including assistance with FAR's weekly adoption activities, providing "foster homes" for many animals awaiting adoption, database entry and clerical support. Weekly adoptions are conducted at a variety of locations. Please see the Calendar of Events for details.

Foster homes desperately needed. We will match you with the best size/age/temperament cat or dog to make it a rewarding experience for all. If you are interested, please download and complete the Foster Agreement. Forward the form to us via e-mail.

We offer volunteer opportunities to young people 14 and above. If your young person (under 18 years old) would like to volunteer, please download, read and complete this permission form. Sign it, and return it to the address listed at the top of the form.

OUR WISH LIST

FAR has a wish list – items we need for the office or to share with our foster families. Most of our monetary donations are used to pay veterinary expenses. Other supply items are needed as well.

The group welcomes anyone who would like to volunteer. Currently we are desperately in need of foster homes for dogs or cats. Other tasks requiring volunteers include working at adoption venues, fund raising, transporting animals, etc.
