Chance, Akita  5 year old neutered male Akita. Other than runny eyes likely from an allergen (takes a tissue wipe twice daily), and some sore paw pads which are healing nicely, he is one healthy boy! This handsome fellow has been through so much - he was found wandering the streets. He was terrified. His first foster parents were able to coax him to come to them. He had a great fear of leashes and cars but has now been on three short trips and is doing better and better! When CHANCE was found, his paws were raw from walking on pavement and his eyes were badly infected. His first fosters took great care of him and thanks to that good home base he is getting much needed special attention and continued love! He will still need a special family to continue to work with him when he is ready for adoption. Are you that special family? CHANCE is up to date on all his shots and microchipped.

Brody, Lab Mix  8-9 month old neutered male, with short brown coat. Brody is an active puppy who would love to have another dog to play with. He is good with other dogs and children, no cats. He plays quite hard, so children should be older. He is learning his manners and starting to understand the dog door. He will need some training once adopted and a family who understands labs. He really needs a playmate as he is much better behaved with a buddy to romp with. He is current on all shots and is microchipped.
Jasper, Border Collie Mix  Two year old neutered male, 45 pounds, with medium length sable and white coat. He is good with other dogs and also horses. We are unsure how he is with cats. He LOVES children. He is very fun-loving and playful. He's a little shy at first, but loves to be petted and get belly rubs. He has an excellent disposition, knows basic commands, but is not leash-trained yet. He also likes chew bones and to play ball. He is current on all shots and is microchipped.
Beauty, German Shepherd  4 year old spayed female with white medium length coat. Beauty was just a recent mother and she is now ready to find her forever home. She is good with dogs, cats and children. She is very sweet and was a wonderful mother. She is current on all shots. Microchipped.
Faith, Sheltie Mix  10 month old spayed female, 14 pounds, with long red/brown/black coat. Faith is a little shy now, but is getting better each day. She is good with the other foster dogs and cats. No young children. She is dog-door trained and is learning basic obedience. She would love to find a quiet home with someone who understnds her needs. She is current on all shots and is microchipped.
Gavin, Doberman Pinscher  3 month old neutered male, 19 pounds, with short black and red coat. Gavin is good with other dogs, cats and children. He is a puppy so has typical puppy behavior. He is learning his manners and already knows how to use the dog door. He is very sweet and would love to find his forever home. Current on all shots and microhipped.
Charlie and Zorro, Spaniel Mix and Chihuahua Mix  Charlie is a 5 year old neutered male, 23 pounds, with black and brown long hair. Zorro is a 2 year old neutered male, 10 pounds with white and cream long coat. They were both surrendered from a home due to family illness. They would love to be adopted as a pair but do not need to be adopted together. Both are very sweet and loving dogs who love to be cuddled and held. They are good with other dogs, cats, and children. Zorro has a pin in his leg as he was apparently in an accident. This does not hinder him in any way. Both are housebroken and dog-door trained. Current on shots. Microchipped.
Nellie, Border Collie  4-5 year old spayed female, 35 pounds with black and white medium-length coat. Nellie is good with dogs and both older and younger children, but NO cats. Nellie is full of energy and will need someone who knows the Border Collie breed. Also needs a fenced-in backyard and supervision while she is out. She will need some training and a loving family to play with her and help her learn. She is housebroken. Current on all shots and microchipped.
Shiloh, German Shepherd Mix  3 year old spayed female, 85 pounds, with grayish/black shepherd-like coat. Shiloh was tied up outside a small house, pretty much all of her life, left depending on the neighbors for food and water when her owner died before the neighbors called rescue. Shiloh is amazingly well adjusted for a neglected outside dog. She now enjoys being inside, sleeping on soft cushions, playing with big squeaky toys and braided ropes. She gets along with other dogs her size, but can be intimidating to smaller dogs even if she's not trying. She loves at least one other playful gentle natured dog to romp with and play pull rope with. Shiloh has razor sharp teeth, more so than other dogs, and for this reason should not be with children. Shiloh is still experiencing puppyhood, very playful, loves to take a hand in her mouth to show affection. She loves chasing squeaky toys, loves to chew on Nylabones and sticks, loves cuddles and kisses. Because of her solitary previous lifestyle, Shiloh needs a quiet home, with one or two humans and one other gentle playful dog. Too much activity outside the home, too many people, too much excitement and she gets a little nervous. Use caution when trying to remove a stick burr from her feet, she would rather do that herself. Lovable, playful, command trained, and looking for an ideal home where she can be indoors and out by choice. A good-sized fenced yard, dog door, doggie playmate, and being spoiled is what she needs now. Can be a little food protective, so feed separately. She is dog-door trained, house and leash trained. She is current on all shots and is microchipped.
Twinkles, Hound Mix  One year old spayed female, 50 pounds, with short brown coat with some white. Twinkles is good with dogs, both older and younger children, but NO cats. She is dog-door trained and also crate-trained. Twinkles would love a family to play with her and also to exercise her. She would also love a fenced-in yard to play in. She is current on all shots and microchipped.
Callie, Australian Shepherd Mix  11-12 month spayed female, 35 pounds with blue merle coat. Callie was turned in by her rescuers. She was found at 5 weeks old under a tree up north with two of her siblings, no momma dog to be found. Her rescuers took her in. She was shy, not well socialized considering her too-early abandonment into the wild. She was turned in to foster care to give her the opportunity to socialize and grow emotionally. Callie is coming around slowly, still very shy but lovable. She is eager to learn. In foster care she is learning to socialize with other playful dogs, loves chewing on chew bones, sticks, and braided ropes. She warms slowly at this time to new humans, but once she recognizes a friendly human she runs right up for kisses and cuddles. Callie will need a quiet home environment with children over the age of ten who will play gently with her, and adults who will give her the attention and cuddling she needs to further develop her wonderful personality. Not food or toy aggressive, would play with another gentle dog around her size, gentle and mellow in quiet environments. Okay to free-feed on high quality dry chow. She is dog-door trained, leash trained and house trained. She is current on all shots and is microchipped.
Tabasco, Jack Russell Mix  2-2 1/2 year old neutered male, 35 pounds, with white and tan short coat. Tabasco is a busy, active dog. Needs lots of room to run and another active dog to play with. Jack Russell's love to stay busy hunting, running, chasing, doing lots of activities. Tabasco would be a great companion to a sports-active adult who would take him hiking, running, camping. He would not do well as a back yard dog with little to keep him busy. Tabasco is very lovable and enjoys quiet cuddles with his human. Can free-feed, won't overeat. Gets along well with other dogs, probably too active for cats. Current on all shots. Microchipped.
Princess, Lab/Rottie Mix Puppy  11-12 month old spayed female puppy with black and white short-to-medium length coats. Princess is a typical puppy, full of energy one minute and sound asleep the next!! She is learning her manners at present. Good with dogs and older children. Both of her siblings have been adopted and she is now waiting for her forever home. Current on her puppy shots. Microchipped.
Maestro, Coonhound Mix   4-5 year old neutered male, 55 pounds with mostly brown short coat. He has some black on his back. Good with dogs and both older and younger children. NO cats. Lovely dog with a great temperament. He LOVES tennis balls and treats. He also loves to romp around and play with the other foster dogs, as well as cuddle with his people. Current on all shots..
Larry, Dalmation Mix  1 year old neutered male with brown and white short coat; 95 pounds. Larry is deaf. He loves everyone, gets along well with all other dogs. He is playful, goofy, lovable, and big! Loves toys, Nylabones, playing pull rope with other dogs; loves chasing and wrestling with other dogs. Not toy or food aggressive. Knows some hand signals. Should be in a home with a securely fenced yard, dog-door (he doesn't know how to ask to go outside as he's always had a dog door), free access to inside and out as he chooses, part of an active playful family, and especially one with another gently playful doggie companion. Definitely should be with responsible individual who will make sure he doesn't run outside into the street. Can free feed with other non-food aggressive dogs around. Loves wading pools and must be taught how to swim and get out of a full size swimming pool. He is dog-door trained, house-trained and leash-trained. He is current on all shots and is microchipped.
